MARS – Rifle Sling [ Minimalist, NON-Padded ]

The MARS MKII sling is the result of 3 years of testing, rebuilding, refinement, and retesting.

Built from the need to have a minimalist sling that has the capability and features of more expensive offerings, we designed this to be THE MOST durable, minimalistic, and modular sling in the entire industry.
The ‘sling’ at its core is built to hold the rifle on your body. But from our testing and research, many slings on the market require you to work around them, instead of the sling working around you, no matter the situation or mission set.

Our sling design: the M.A.R.S. (Mission Adaptable Rifle Sling) allows the user to add, remove, or adjust a sling pad when desired, and go from 2 point to 1 point in an instant when unencumbered maneuverability is required. Along with many other features found below.
We also have the smoothest quick-adjusting slider buckle ever built. YES, we absolutely stand behind that.
All at the price point under many of the most prominent slings on the market.

NON-PADDED VERSION OF OUR MARS SLING:

• Extremely slick & minimalistic. This is the lightweight ‘high speed’ version of our famous MARS sling.

• If you need a no frills rifle sling with our world changing quick-adjust slider buckle and maybe a 2-1 adapter, this is the sling for you.

• No pad included with this package, but it can be later ordered and user-installed at any time!

SCALABLE & MODULAR.

• We built this sling to be scalable. Meaning that our base sling can be user-upgraded at any time (with or without) our sling pads, 2-1 adapter, attachment hardware, or future slider buckles.

• MARS comes with a generous amount of length to fit any rifle platform or body, large or small.

• Have excess webbing hanging off on the ends from sizing down the sling? CUT IT OFF AND BURN THE ENDS WITH A LIGHTER. Leave a bit extra just incase, but don’t be afraid to shorten it. Our USA made nylon webbing will burn and seal perfectly so their is no fraying.

• No loops, toggles, or tabs for potential snag hazards that would potentially loosen the rifle on your body without your implicit permission.

• Built from heavy duty zinc alloy with an enamel plated exterior for great durability. (Same strength as powder coating from our testing)

• Stress tested, weight tested, and stagnant line tested for over 2 days with nearly no slippage.
  YES, THIS SLIDER BUCKLE IS ABSOLUTELY EPIC.

FULL METAL HARDWARE.

• Incredibly durable, reliable and lightweight STEEL tri-glides. Built in the USA by ITW.
  Heavy duty iron center loop. (This center loop can be replaced by the end user with a Cobra buckle or any 1″ buckle at any time.)
  Steel QD Sling Swivels (Click this link) are built by GROVTEC in the USA and are extremely heavy duty.

IWC 2-1 TRIGLIDE ADAPTER

• Rapid 2 point to 1 point conversion. Simply remove the front QD swivel and install it into the adapter as the rear of your rifle, effectively turning your 2 point sling into a 1 point sling. This can easily be done in a few seconds.

SHOCK CORD SLING STOWAWAY.

• Included with every sling purchase, our shock cord tab is designed to hold the sling close to the rifle when not in use or when transporting. (Video below)

OPEN ENDED DESIGN.

• Built to accommodate any of your rifle attachment hardware. Including our 2-1 triglide.
  We currently supply extremely high quality STEEL QD sling swivels built from GROVTEC in the USA, and HK style snap hooks.

REINFORCED TACKED STITCHING:

• Stitched with 3-strand parachute thread. American Made. Berry Compliant. Mil-Spec.
  This is high grade thread, tacked together in America to create a piece of equipment that will stand the test of time.

 

2-1 ADAPTER PRACTICAL USE:

(We recommend 2 point slings almost all the time when using a rifle sling. However, there are specific uses where a single point sling may be highly beneficial.)

FROM IWC:
The 2 To 1 Point Triglide allows you to rapidly convert your Two Point Sling into a One Point Sling, on the run, when extra maneuverability is required, and then back to a Two Point for extra stability or when carrying the weapon. The 2 To 1 Point Triglide allows you to leverage the best of both sling types.

In order to understand why IWC designed the 2 To 1 Point Triglide, it’s important to understand the strengths and weaknesses of the various types of slings on the market.

1. A One Point Sling is so called because it only attaches to the rifle at a single point, at the rear of the rifle, or the lower receiver using an end plate. The One Point Sling has the advantage of allowing the rifle to transition quickly and easily to either the strong or weak side shoulder with no adjustments. They also tend to allow the operator to move to any shooting position without adjustment (like standing to prone). The main weakness of the One Point Sling is that it allows the muzzle to swing like a pendulum when the user removes their hands from the rifle.
2. Two Point Slings attach to the rifle at 2 points; one at the front of the rifle and one at the rear. This is a very sturdy and comfortable configuration, especially for longer operations. Though, as dynamic as a properly configured Two Point Sling can be, it still can’t match a One Point Sling for maneuverability.

The 2 To 1 Point Triglide allows you to reconfigure your sling as a One Point or Two Point on the fly to deal with the specific situation you’re facing. Now we don’t recommend single point sling usage for the majority of situations… But when the need arises and you need to be high speed clearing buildings with the utmost maneuverability, we highly recommend single point.

Our slings are built to come with an excess amount of webbing. When the sling has been properly fitted to your body, you can stow away the excess 1” webbing into the included Tri-glides OR cut the extra non needed webbing with a knife and burn the ends with a lighter. (Please take into account plate carrier fitment if you decide to cut webbing)
